9 Lives Furniture AGM – Wednesday evening 11th September 2013Posted: September 11, 2013
It was a real pleasure to be invited and to say a few words at the 9 Lives AGM. 9 Lives does a fantastic job providing furniture to people in Watford, Rickmansworth and the surrounding areas to support those in need with a two-tier pricing scheme, and I specifically wanted to thank all the volunteers who give up their time in supporting such a fine enterprise.
Established in 2003, they are a registered charity. They collect donated furniture, white goods and household items, restore them where necessary and add them to their showroom. Situated down Wharf Lane in Rickmansworth, opposite the Coach & Horses pub and next to the soon to be demolished Gasometers. 9 Lives Furniture exists to put your unwanted furniture to good use, to prevent re-usable materials going to waste and to help thousands of people create and maintain a decent, safe, home environment. They also run training courses for those with mental ill health.
What a great charity and well worth everyone’s support. Keep up the good work!
