RES Queens Award for Enterprise: International Trade – Thursday morning 12th September 2013Posted: September 12, 2013
Renewable Energy Systems (RES) received the prestigious Queens Award for Enterprise: International Trade from The Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, the Countess of Verulam, today and we were there to see the ceremony along with Penny Hearn the Mayor of Dacorum. Previously we had been received by Dr Ian Mays, Managing Director and Gavin McAlpine, Managing Partner, and given an enlightening tour of the site. This was our second visit to the site and we were very impressed with what they are achieving in the renewable energy sector.
RES is a successful and expanding business that has had to spread over a number of offices within the local area. They hope to continue to expand successfully and would like to bring their employees together on one site, with a new Headquarters adjacent to the existing offices at Beaufort Court. The design would be integrated with the local landscape and history of the site. It maximises the combination of low carbon materials, passive design principles and renewable technologies which could bring social and economic benefits to the local area.
